Care that comes to your area

Optum Utah is proud to present Optum mobile clinic — the first of its kind for Optum members in the Utah area. It offers an easy, convenient way to get mobile preventive care to help keep you healthy as well as get general health screenings.

How Optum mobile clinic works

Optum mobile clinic is a recreational vehicle (RV) that goes to different areas. After it parks, simply board the RV for your visit. Unlike a regular doctor visit, it offers many important screenings that most primary care clinics don’t do on site.

Clinic staff includes medical assistants and a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. You’ll have a separate, private space to complete your screenings.

Get your annual health screening

Our health screenings help support your doctor’s care plan. We share all results with your doctor. That way, you can talk about them if needed. At your visit, we’ll go over your medical history.

Mobile health screening services

This screening requires a single drop of blood by gently pricking the finger. The blood will be tested to measure average blood sugar levels over the last three months.

This is a painless exam that tests for bone strength. It's mostly recommended for women. We'll take a handheld ultrasound device and hold it to your wrist. This simple scan of the bone will take about three minutes.

A testing kit will be mailed to your home so you can provide samples for testing. Once completed, you simply ship the kit back to us and a member of our staff will contact you with your results.

This is a simple, at-home urine test that checks your kidney health by measuring microalbumin levels. You'll receive a testing kit in the mail, complete and return it at your convenience and our team will contact you with your results.

If you have diabetes, you should do this test once a year. It’s completely painless and checks for eye health. We'll take a picture of your eye. An ophthalmologist will review the picture to be sure your eye is okay.
